Leaves on Still Water Wall Art

$80.00

Copper and tan leaves drift across the near water, each one sharp against the dark, still surface of the millpond. The mill and its waterwheel stand at the far right, with a little cascade tumbling over rocks beside them, and their golden reflections run down through the pond toward the viewer. Overhanging branches and a warm, cloudy sky complete the autumn scene.

Details

Its deep golds and browns bring warmth to a living room or a wood-paneled study, and the open water gives the eye somewhere to rest. Together with The Old Mill and Through the Mill Window it forms a trio drawn from the Autumn at the Mill collection, nine paintings centered on one old watermill and its woodland.

About the collection

Autumn at the Mill

The old mill stands on its stream with weathered stone walls and a wooden wheel still turning water into the pond below. In late autumn the woods around it go copper and gold, leaves drift on the still water, and the afternoon light grows low and soft along the paths. These nine views wander from the bridge and the millrace to a quiet bench beneath an oak.

Leaves on Still Water. Fallen maple leaves float on the dark millpond in the foreground, while the stone mill and its wheel glow beyond.

Such a good spot for it

The big canal view looks lovely above our bench. I like the black frame with the bench legs. That patch of blue water really stands out when you walk in.

A nicer view from my desk

My office needed something other than blank walls and paperwork. These two river pictures make it feel a bit calmer. I especially like the reflections under the willow tree.

Looks lovely in the evening

This is my favorite corner now. The warm colors and gold frame look especially nice with the little picture light on. It's got that quiet, old house feel I was hoping for.

Fits our room so well

Love the autumn colors against the brick. The wood frame was an easy choice for this room.

Such a nice match for the sofa

The autumn browns look great above our tan sofa. The gold frames give the two pictures a little more warmth. Really happy with how this corner turned out.

Finally something for the stair wall

We have a big awkward wall by the stairs and I never knew what to put there. The tall landscape works really well. The black frame also makes sense with the railing, which I hadn't thought about until it was up.

So glad we picked two

These two look really nice together over the sofa. The colors go with our blue cushions without everything being exactly the same shade. My favorite is the one with the rocky shore.

A little garden view in the kitchen

Didn't think a picture would make much difference in here, but it does. The greens work so well with all our wood and baskets. It makes me want to sit on that bench with a coffee.

The black frame was the right choice

I kept going back and forth on the frame. Went with black because of our dining chairs and lights and I'm glad I did. The soft pink flowers are my favorite part.

Lovely scene

Really like the lake and mountains. I probably could have gone a size bigger for this wall, but that's on me. Still happy with how it looks next to the chair.

Love it above the fireplace

The little garden scene is lovely. I like how the gold frame picks up the other bits on our mantel.

Just right for this little corner

Our breakfast corner needed something on that blank wall. This has enough color to make it feel finished without taking over. Glad I went with the wood frame.

Lovely with our woven headboard

The wood frames and soft coastal colors suit our bedroom really well. I like that the two pictures are different but still feel like a pair. The path through the dunes is my favorite.

Two was the right number

We didn't want to fill the entire wall. These two autumn pictures give us enough color over the sofa and still leave some space around them. Love the trees in the left one.

Nice as a pair

These two sit well in the space above our headboard. I like the quiet colors and the little jetty. I did spend a while deciding how far apart to hang them, but I'm happy with the result.

Soft colors that suit the room

Our living room is mostly beige and wood, so I didn't want anything too bright. This cottage scene adds some color but still feels quiet. I keep noticing the little house in the distance.

The three together look great

We chose the three landscapes with the same wood frames. They fill the space over our sofa nicely without looking crowded. I was worried three might be too much, but they feel like they belong together.

Love the autumn trees

The warm brown tones look great over our sideboard. I especially like that the path draws your eye into the picture.

A garden view by the dining table

The orchard, meadow and open window make such a nice group. The natural wood frames go with our table and chairs. I love looking across at them while we're having breakfast.

A calm picture for the bedroom

I wanted something I wouldn't get tired of seeing every morning. The mountains and cloudy sky are perfect for that. It works with our light bedding and doesn't need anything else around it.

Exactly the sort of picture I wanted

A peaceful country scene that doesn't make the room feel busy. It looks lovely from the other end of our living room too.

Made the bedroom feel finished

The blue wall was already there, but I couldn't find anything I liked above the bed. This little harbor view fits right in. The gold around it is a nice bit of warmth.

J

Nice with the blue bedding

The harbor scene is really pretty and the wood frame goes with our headboard. Looking at it now, I might have chosen a bigger size for the space above the bed. I do like the picture itself a lot.

Really ties the room together

We have warm lights and a lot of cream and brown in the sitting room. The canal picture brings in just enough blue. I love the shape of that little bridge.
