Highland Stillness keeps to one Scottish loch: a gray stone lodge on its wooded shore, an old boathouse at the water, a stream running down through the heather and soft hills folding away into mist. The palette is heather mauve, moss green, smoky blue and peat brown, held in the diffuse light of an early autumn morning.
The nine paintings were made to sit together. Hang any three as a trio, or gather all nine into a quiet wall that reads like a slow walk around the water.
