Autumn at the Mill stays close to one old stone watermill and the woods around it. Its wheel turns beside a still millpond, a small arched bridge crosses the stream, and leaf-covered paths wind back through the trees. The colors are copper, burnt sienna, olive and muted gold, softened by the low light of a late autumn afternoon.
The nine paintings are designed to hang together, in groups of three or all nine as one wall that walks the eye around the mill.
